The draw for this year’s Australian Open will be held on Thursday the 16th of January, four days before the tournament commences. Draws for the men’s and women’s tournaments will both kick off at 6pm (AEDT), with fans being able to stream the draw from the Australian Open website and Facebook page.

Once the draw has been finalised, fans will be able to start planning their Australian Open viewing. Depending on where your favourite tennis stars are playing, you’ll want to check out our tickets for Margaret Court Arena, Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena respectively.

The first round of the open will be on the 20th and 21st, with the second round being played on the 22nd and 23rd, and the third round on the 24th and 25th.

The fourth round kicks off on Australia Day, the 26th of January, and continues until the night of the 27th. On this night, there will also be a HOF induction.

The quarter finals for the Australian Open will run from the 28th to 29th, with both genders’ singles semifinals being held on the 30th. Both women’s matches will be played on the 30th, while the second men’s singles semifinals and women’s doubles final being played the next day.

We’ll get to see the women’s singles final and mixed doubles final on the 1st of February, with the men’s doubles and singles’ finals to be played on the last day of the Open, February 2nd.

Of particular note this year is the exhibition event which will be held on the 15th of January to raise funds for bushfire-affected parts of the country. This event, named the Rally for Relief, will be held at the Rod Laver Arena. Several tennis stars have already pledged to donate to bushfire relief causes, so make sure to be there to cheer for them!
