Soccer fans are beyond excited for June, and it’s not because they love winter. June 2017 sees soccer superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar land in Australia to play in an epic match at the MCG.

Neymar’s Brazil is currently on top of the South American Qualifiers table and feeling more than ready for a full strength friendly with Messi’s Argentina in the lead up to the World Cup Qualifiers later this year.

In case you need a reminder, here are a few reasons why you must get tickets to watch Argentina and Brazil at the SuperClasico de las Americas event in Melbourne this June.

Reason 1 – The best players the world has seen

Messi and Neymar are two of the best players of world football to have ever graced a field. For Australians, seeing not one but both of these players live in action is likely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Of course, while Messi and Neymar are absolute superstars, their teammates are world-class in their own right. Brazil features the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, while Argentina has Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain.

Reason 2 – Argentina vs Brazil

When the world’s number 1 and 2 ranked teams play in a city near you, you go. It’s that simple really. There’s no doubt that this match will end up on your list of life’s unforgettable moments. If you don’t go it may end up on a list of your life’s biggest regrets.

Reason 3 – A rare face off

Outside of the World Cup qualifiers, Argentina and Brazil don’t play each other all that often. And they certainly don’t play each other down under all that often. Since their first match in 1914, the two teams have only gone head to head in 107 games, including friendlies. The tally currently stands at 44 wins to Brazil, 28 wins to Argentina and 25 draws. Who knows what Melbourne has in store…

Reason 4 – A fierce friendly

Sure this match is a ‘friendly’ – that is, it doesn’t count towards a tournament – but with the 100-year rivalry between Argentina and Brazil, watching these two teams face off is always a battle to behold. This is a match that will be taken seriously.

Don’t miss out as the action unfolds at the MCG in June.
