4 Times PINK Said What She Was Really Thinking

8 months ago 182 Views

The voice, the style, the attitude, the hits — Pink (or P!NK as she is also commonly known) has been bold and brilliant from the beginning. Her vocal and physical acrobatics on tour have astounded concert-goers in the past, and now she’s headed back to Australia and New Zealand with the Beautiful Trauma tour in 2018.

It’s no surprise that the pre-sale sold out within minutes… but it’s also no surprise that fan favourite Pink immediately announced seven more dates for the tour. With a total of 27 shows across Australia and New Zealand to choose from, you can grab your tickets to Pink in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland or Dundein here.

Pink’s songs are raw and honest, giving fans something real to connect with; and Pink the person (Alecia Moore) is much the same, renowned for telling it how it is.

Take a look at four of the many, many times Pink said what she was really thinking (and many of us likely nodded in agreement!):

1. “This trash won’t save any kid’s life”

The 2015 MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards) were meant to showcase the best of the best in today’s pop music. Pink however was not impressed, saying:

"I felt sad because music is supposed to inspire. It saved my life. This trash won't save any kids life. In a world that is even scarier and with lives still worth saving, who will stand up and have soul?"

2. “Now can we get back to the real controversy?”

Not one to shy away from politics, Pink jumped to Lady Gaga’s defense after she was accused of copying Pink’s performance at the Super Bowl. She compelled her fans to invest their time and energy into the more important things happening in the world.

3. “And you're f****n rip van winkle if you've never seen one of my videos”

This year saw Pink take home a Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs for her accomplishments in creating music videos that entertain, engage and inspire. A few outlets made the claim that Pink wasn’t worthy, but Pink wouldn’t take it lying down and hit back on Twitter.

4 . “We don’t change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl. And we help other people to change so they can see more kinds of beauty.”

When Pink’s 6-year old daughter Willow told her that she felt she was ugly, Pink wasn’t going to let her believe that for a second. At the aforementioned 2017 MTV VMAs Pink recounted the conversation she had with her daughter in response:
